RECIPE: Over-night Oats – Combinations are endless

What is the obsession with overnight oats at the moment? It seems like everyone wants to be part of the health explosion at the moment. So here at Gratitude Cafe Life we decided to look into it.

Turns out Overnight Oats are a pretty good idea! There are so many options and by making it the night before……it means you basically jump out of bed and it’s already prepared!

We’re sold!

So here’s a little recipe to get you started:

Ingredients

  • 350ml liquid such as dairy milk, almond, cashew or coconut milk
  • 350ml rolled oats (all oats are g/f)
  • 350ml yogurt, optional
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 banana, mashed

Then mix with whatever you like! We love blueberries and a scoop of vanilla protein powder but feel free to experiment with fresh or dried fruit, nut butter and a little vanilla extract.

Add the milk, yogurt, oats, chia seeds and banana to a jar and give it a good stir. Refrigerate overnight.

In the morning top with the topping mentioned above (or stick with blueberries and vanilla protein if you want to be a Gratitude Cafe Life member for the day and enjoy!
